Upon walking into Lillian, you'll see that it really took the concept of an "oyster bar" to heart. The space is clean and even elevated, and is comprised mostly of one big long bar with prep stations and chefs front and center. There is other seating around the large glass windows, but the bar is where it's at.

I would imagine most of the folks stopping into Lillian start with the idea of wanting oysters, but are of course curious to see what other options the menu may offer. Luckily with Lillian, not only is there a nice array of oysters from different (delicious) regions, but the menu expands well beyond oysters. Pictured below you will see the stunning hamachi ceviche, featuring a picasso moon melon that lends the gorgeous green color to the dish. Of course we had to get both raw and baked oysters, naturally.

Lillian shares ancestry with Lost Letter, which can actually be seen down the street from each other. It is clear at both establishments that quality matters, and it does really shine through. We enjoy that it is not overly stuffy feeling in the sense that you can casually walk in and ask to sit at the bar without so much as a reservation. The staff is kind and accommodating and do not give off an impression of arrogance. The food is quite simple but very much feels like a treat, a welcome and perfect combination.
